COMPANY’S HISTORY

The company was originally founded in 1976 by Hans Kriebernegg with core competences in transport planning and road design. Bernhard Kaufmann, who was an executive employee of Mr. Kriebernegg for many years, founded his own civil engineering office in 1991 with the main work area of structural engineering. In 1998 both offices were merged into one. The new company was called IKK ZT-OEG, which is a shortcut for “Ingenieurgemeinschaft Kaufmann-Kriebernegg”. In the same year a new office building in Graz was constructed. This made it possible to bring all employees together and to strongly enforce interdisciplinary work. In 2006 a new branch office was founded in Vienna with the aim, to optimise customer services in Vienna region.

With the retirement of Hans Kriebernegg at the beginning of the year 2008 the company’s legal form was changed into IKK ZT-GmbH. In March 2008 in addition to Bernhard Kaufmann, Georg Kriebernegg became chief executive officer.

In 2010 the headquarters in Graz were enlarged. Amongst others a new, modern equipped conference room for up to 30 persons is now available.

At the moment IKK employs about 70 high specialised employees both in Graz and Vienna. IKK counts as one of the leading civil engineering offices in Austria and provides a wide range of planning and consulting services both for public and private customers.
